SKILLED REPRESENTATION
Carla Hogan, Esq. represents start ups and established health care providers in private equity roll-ups, managed care issues and contracting, mergers, acquisitions and auspices transfers. In addition to offering health care corporate compliance programs and training, she defends licensed professionals in front of the New York Office of Professional Medical Conduct, the Office of Professional Discipline, and the Bureau of Narcotic Enforcement on professional discipline matters. Carla defends against proposed exclusions by the Office of the Medicaid Inspector General, the Office of Inspector General and CMS. She also represents providers in connection with hospital disputes and credentialing matters.
She defends Medicare, Medicaid and commercial payor audits, and provides general regulatory counsel on day-to-day health care issues including HIPAA, OSHA, fraud and abuse and Stark compliance. Representative clients include laboratories, multi-specialty medical practices, DMEs, pharmacies, home health care agencies, nursing homes, dental and medical practices, physician and dental management companies, fertility practices, diagnostic and treatment centers, physicians, dentists and all other licensed health care professionals, ambulatory surgery centers, IPAs, ACOs, CCOs, and free standing imaging centers.
In her employment practice, she defends federal and state discrimination claims, as well as train and counsel employers in workplace best practices, diversity and inclusion. This includes wages, hours and classification matters, employment contracts including non-competes, physician/hospital contracts and executive compensation, sexual harassment training, defense of state audits including workers compensation and unemployment insurance and general day-to-day employment counseling.
Carla also affiliates with other law firms seeking an experienced employment or health care attorney for long term projects and contracts, or as New York counsel to out of state businesses and/or law firms.
